BMW FRM Footwell Module Repair

The BMW Footwell Module (FRM or FRM3) is located behind the kick panel on the driver's side and acts as the central hub for all exterior and some interior lighting, power windows, central locking, windshield wipers, and rain sensors. It is one of the most failure-prone modules in BMW vehicles, with common issues including water intrusion from blocked drains, electrical surges from jump-starting, and age-related component degradation on models from 2005-2017.

Symptoms of FRM failure are varied and often confusing: headlights that dim or flicker, tail lights that stay on when the car is off, turn signals that work intermittently, power windows that operate on their own, dashboard warning lights for multiple systems, and in severe cases, a complete loss of exterior lighting.
